El Dorado State park was a nice place to visit. There are 30 and 50 amp locations to stay, and we, unfortunately, had a 30 amp spot. The new trailer requires 50 amp to really "glamp" in style. Nonetheless, we had a great time as Lillian, Kevin and Claire came to visit. We set everything up, even more than we will probably set up normally.

The highlights of the trip include going swimming in the lake, taking a day trip to Cottonwood Falls, and watching the fireworks from the campsite.

A couple of lessons learned:

  • The portable tank for dumping the black and gray tanks will come off the hitch when you slow down.
  • When the power goes out because you tripped a breaker, the fridge will not be powered.
  • Make sure the awning is fully closed before departure.
  • Double-check everything - I mean everything!
